Working in production offered an unprecedented insight into what is truly possible on a TV animation budget and schedule, and writing in the confines of network and executive oversight granted my first taste of writing "inside the box" and coming to appreciate the importance of thinking visually for the board artists who must interpret our crazy thoughts on the page. Moving forward, I hope to look back at my time at Warner Bros Animation as the critical catalyst that allowed me to channel my post-graduation excitement into cementing a long-term career in the entertainment industry.
I have been lucky to work alongside four amazing crews during my time at Warner Bros Animation. Working in both production and creative positions offered me the opportunity to wear all sorts of hats while constantly challenging convention in an industry that is increasingly moving towards nontraditional digital, direct to consumer outlets. I've personally helped develop new workflows incorporating emerging technologies while contributing a bit of myself in each script I've written. I hope to apply my experience as I continue down my path in animation writing and beyond.
Getting a chance to have my hands in both creative and production roles, my understanding of how the industry works as well as witnessing first hand what it takes to take a concept from the logline and pitch all the way through the story, design, and post pipeline has grown immensely.
